Trend Report: Lace

If you’ve been out and about for a little bit of spring shopping, you’ve probably noticed that lace is HUGE right now. Anything lace is all the rage, but especially when it comes to dresses. A lace dress just screams femininity and girl-power (think modern-day Baby Spice with a stylish twist).

If you’re like me and don’t typically gravitate towards the super-frilly-girly look, you can still rock the lace in a sexier, more bad-ass manner. My advice? Opt for either bold brights or darker, demure colours to balance out the high-voltage X-chromosome factor of the fabric. Or, pair a lace dress with metallic accessories, like a bold gold statement necklace. Combat boots and dark tights will also give a bit of an edge to an otherwise-angelic, white lace dress.
